Privacy Policy

Amberly · Last updated 13 August 2026

Amberly turns your photos into AI-generated images and videos. This policy explains exactly what we collect, where it goes, and how long we keep it. We have tried to keep it short and specific rather than broad and vague.

No account, no sign-in

Amberly has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or password, and we have no way to contact you. When you first open the app, our server generates a random identifier for your device and the app stores it locally. That identifier is what links your purchases and credits to your device — nothing else.

Because there is no account, deleting and reinstalling the app produces a new identifier, and any remaining credits attached to the old one are not recoverable.

What we collect

DataWhyHow long we keep it
Photos you choose or take To generate the image or video you asked for Deleted 24 hours after upload
The image or video we generate So you can view, save and share it Deleted 24 hours after creation
Random device identifier Links credits and subscription to your device Until you delete the app
Credit balance and purchase history Required to provide what you paid for Kept for accounting purposes
Onboarding answers (which styles you picked) Ordering templates so the app is more relevant to you Until you delete the app

We do not collect your contacts, location, browsing history, health data, or your photo library as a whole. The app only ever receives the specific photos you select.

Who else sees your photos

Generating an image or video is not something we can do on your phone, so the photo you select is sent to AI providers who perform the generation on our behalf:

Your photos are also stored temporarily on Cloudflare infrastructure, which hosts our servers and storage.

We do not sell your photos, we do not publish them, and we do not use them to train our own models.

Safety checks

Before generating, we automatically check the photo you uploaded — to confirm it is the kind of subject the template expects, and to block templates that are not appropriate for photographs of children. This check is performed by an AI model and no human at Amberly reviews your photos.

Purchases

Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through Apple. We never see your payment details. We use Qonversion to verify with Apple that a purchase is genuine and to tell our server to add your credits. Qonversion receives your device identifier and the details of the purchase.

Children

Amberly is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Some templates are automatically disabled when the uploaded photograph appears to be of a minor.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who we share it with, we will update the date at the top of this page.
